Commission an original artwork
I accept a limited number of commissions throughout the year, creating original, hand-painted works from photographs, places and memories that are meaningful to you.
Each commission is painted in my own style and approach. Rather than recreating a photograph exactly, I use it as a starting point, interpreting the colours, atmosphere and feeling of the place through paint.

Before getting in touch
It’s helpful to have a few things in mind, although you don’t need to have everything figured out.
The photograph or place
You can send me the photograph you’d like me to work from, or a selection if you’re unsure which would translate best into a painting. I’m always happy to help you choose.
The size
Let me know roughly what size you have in mind. If the artwork is for a particular wall or space, you can also send me a photograph and the dimensions of the area and I can help you decide what would work best.
The feeling and colours
You’re welcome to tell me if there are particular colours or elements you’re drawn to, but you don’t need to choose a precise palette. I like to leave enough freedom for the painting to develop naturally.
The work you’re drawn to
Have a look through my previous paintings and let me know if there are one or two pieces you particularly connect with. This helps me understand what you are responding to in my work, while still allowing your commission to become something entirely its own.
A little about the process
Once we’ve discussed your idea, size and reference photographs, I’ll confirm the price and estimated timeframe before anything begins.
Every commission is an original painting, created by hand in my studio. There will always be an element of interpretation and spontaneity in the process, which is part of what makes each piece unique.
