Our Return & Exchanges Policy
Every print is made just for you
I'm a one-person independent art studio, and every print in this shop is made to order — produced individually when you place your order, in your chosen size, frame, and finish. Nothing is held in stock, nothing is printed in bulk, and no order exists until you create it.
This model is a deliberate choice. Making every piece to order means no overproduction, no unsold stock ending up in landfill, and no unnecessary shipping of goods around the world in advance. Your order is printed as close to you as possible and shipped directly to your door, which keeps the carbon footprint low and also means you receive it without customs fees or import duties.
The trade-off is that because your print is made uniquely for you the moment you order it, I'm not able to accept returns or exchanges for change of mind or incorrect size selection, for any orders worldwide. Once production begins, that print exists solely for you, and reversing the process would mean wasted materials and emissions with no good outcome for anyone.
Before placing your order, please take a moment to read the product descriptions and size guides carefully. If you have any doubt at all about sizing, framing, or colour, please get in touch before ordering — I'm always happy to help.
Order cancellations
Because production begins almost immediately after an order is placed, there is only a very short window to cancel.
If you need to cancel, please contact me immediately after placing your order. If production has not yet started, I will cancel your order and issue a full refund.
Once production has begun, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded even if it has not yet shipped. At that point, materials and labour have already been committed to your order.
Print sizing and framing
All prints may vary by a few millimetres from the stated size. This is a normal part of the printing process and not a defect. If you are purchasing a frame separately, I recommend choosing one with a slight margin rather than an exact fit, or using a mat or spacer. Size variation of a few millimetres is not considered a fault and does not qualify for a replacement.
Damaged, faulty or lost orders
If your order arrives damaged, misprinted, or defective in any way, I will send you a free replacement at no cost to you. To process your claim, please contact me within 30 days of receiving your order and include your name, order number, and clear photos of the damage or defect. Claims submitted without this information or after 30 days cannot be processed.
If your order was lost in transit, please contact me within 30 days of the estimated delivery date.
For customers in the EU and UK
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and equivalent UK regulations, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that are made to order or clearly personalised. Because every print in this shop is produced individually to your specification — your chosen size, paper/canvas type, frame style, and frame colour — these orders may fall within that exemption.
If you would like to submit a withdrawal request, you can do so using the form on this website. Each request will be reviewed individually. Where a return is accepted, you are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping to my London studio, including any customs or import duties arising from the return shipment. The item must be received in its original condition before any refund is processed. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned item. I reserve the right to deduct any reduction in value from the refund amount.
Returning goods to the UK: customs declaration
If you are returning an item from outside the UK, you must complete the customs declaration correctly to avoid import charges on arrival.
On your postal customs declaration form (CN22 or CN23) you must tick the "Returned Goods" box and write "RETURNED GOODS — RELIEF CLAIMED" clearly on the outside of the packaging.
If a return incurs UK import VAT, customs fees, or courier handling charges as a result of an incorrect or incomplete customs declaration, these costs will be deducted from your refund.
Original paintings
Original hand-painted works are non-returnable for change of mind, given the unique nature of each piece. If a painting arrives damaged, please contact me within 30 days.
